Resource Matters is looking for a research trainee in Brussels (€1000/month)
Resource Matters is a young non-governmental organization that aims to better understand and help overcome the contrast between a country's natural wealth and the poverty of its people. It focuses mainly on industrial investments in the mining and hydro-electric sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Resource Matters wishes to recruit a trainee to assist the organization in its sectoral research. In particular, the successful candidate will analyze international and national standards of corruption. The trainee will also research the cobalt supply chain, a strategic mineral for the electric vehicle market, with 60% of the world's production coming from Congo.
The vacancy will extend over a period of min. 2 months (full time) to 6 months (part time). The trainee will be based in Brussels and will receive an allowance of € 1,000 per month. The internship will begin on September 1st, 2018.
